Art by Henry L WilsonThe Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival is a free, one-day event celebrating the illustrated word that takes place annually on the first Saturday in November. The Comic Book Festival features publishers, vendors, film screenings, panels, special guests and much more. The next event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. inside and around the Clark County Library (1401 E. Flamingo Road).

Guests at the 2015 festival include Matt Wagner (Will Eisner’s The Spirit), Jen Van Meter (Hopeless Savages), Chris Staros (Top Shelf Productions), Russell Lissau (Old Wounds), Dan Schkade (San Hannibal), Spencer Brinkerhoff III (Studios B3), Ben Saunders (University of Oregon) and Shannon Watters (BOOM! Studios), plus live music by The DoubleClicks and Molly Lewis.

The 2014 event was the biggest yet, with about 3,500 people coming through the library’s doors to enjoy the day’s events, which included the return and expansion of our popular Artist Alley, live music by Kirby Krackle and Hello, the Future!, meet-and-greets and panels with guests such as Howard Chaykin, Chris Staros, Brian & Kristy Miller of Hi-Fi Colour, Spencer Brinkerhoff III, and much more — all for free.

Stay tuned as we work to create an even better festival for 2015 and future years. Friend us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter for the latest updates!
