Thanks so much to all of the attendees, guests, vendors, volunteers, sponsors and staff who made the 2013 Vegas Valley Comic Book Fest another fantastically successful event! In just six years, this one-day, free event has grown in attendance from 800 to more than 3,400 people, more than doubled in size and programming, and become one of the staple events both of the Vegas Valley Book Festival and the Southwest comics scene.
This year’s fest, held on Saturday, Nov. 2, featured live music by Adam WarRock and 3D6, kid-friendly Art Jam, face-painting and crafting areas, a Very Awesome Cosplay Contest, meet-and-greets and panels with guests such as Greg Rucka, Georges Jeanty and Warren Wucinich, writing workshops with Chris Staros, and much more — all for free. Check out some photos from the event!
We’re already starting to plan the 2014 event, and will have some big announcements to make in the near future, so be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter, or sign up for our email newsletter to stay abreast of programming news, registration deadlines, contest information, and much more.
